Raul's is a series of shifty reefbreaks named for the for the restaurant located at the turnoff to get there. This is an all around fun wave that can be good for beginners on up. The entire stretch here can get fun with the north peak being more defined and consistent then the rest of the beach. Raul's is better on a high tide, but can still get good on lower tides if there is some size to the swell. The kelp bed on the outside helps to keep the waves clean when the wind picks up in the late morning. To get to Raul's, take the toll road south past Rosarito. Merge onto the free road just before the AM/PM and head south. Raul's is located at approximately K-46 just south of Las Gaviotas.Updated: Feb 27, 2013 02:12 PM
