The Rosarito Ensenada Bike Ride Continues!

The Rosarito Ensenada Bike Ride lives on! Thanks to assistance from the Mexico Tourism Board the next bike ride will be held on Saturday, September 26th! This is the 30th anniversary of the ride, so come join the fun and be a part of this historic event!

The ride begins at 10:00 am in downtown Rosarito in front of the Rosarito Beach Hotel and then heads south along the beautiful Baja coastline for about twenty miles. Riders will then head inland to tackle a challenging hill to reach the top of the plateau. Once on top of the plateau, riders get to take in the breathtaking Baja landscape before the long downhill descent into the heart of Ensenada.

Ride History

The Rosarito Ensenada 50 Mile Fun Bicycle Ride's history dates back to 1980, when a few friends rode the old free road from Ensenada to Rosarito Beach and noticed that they had ridden exactly 50 miles. The ride became an annual tradition and quickly grew so large that in 1986 a second ride was created to alleviate the crowds. The Rosarito Ensenada 50 Mile Fun Bike Ride is now put on by Bicycling West and is held each April and September. Over 8000 riders participate in the event.
