Ensenada

Ensenada is located 70 miles south of San Diego on the Pacific coast of the Baja peninsula. Commonly referred to as the “Cinderella of the Pacific, Ensenada is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Baja. It is a main stopping point for cruise ships, allowing tourists the opportunity to sample the local cuisine and browse the various shops in town. Local cuisine ranges from authentic taco cart vendors to upscale restaurants with fine dining. Nightlife is mostly focused on the downtown area, where dance clubs keep the music going until the early hours of the morning. Popular activities in the area include fishing, scuba diving, surfing, whale watching and wine tasting. Notable areas of interest include la Bufadora, a natural marine geyser just south of town and Valle de Guadalupe, the hub of the Baja wine country.
