Rosarito Beach Real Estate

Area Information

(This page is under construction)

Located just a half hour south of the border, Rosarito has turned into a prime destination for Americans interested in taking advantage of the exploding real estate market for retirement or for a second home. Rosarito Beach is at the center of Baja’s scenic Gold Coast, which stretches from the border to Ensenada. Being that Rosarito is a bit further from the border, many residents here make fewer trips to the U.S. than residents who live in Tijuana.

Rosarito features wide, sandy beaches, several world class surfing spots, golfing, great dining, lots of shopping and a variety of nightlife. Nearby attractions include the world famous "lobster village" of Puerto Nuevo and Baja Studios where movies such as Master and Commander and Titanic were filmed. Rosarito is famous for its handcrafted, solid wood furniture and unique home decorations from different regions of Mexico.

Rosarito's commercial development has also increased in recent months and residents will find a large variety of stores including Office Depot, Auto Zone, Express Tire, Ford and McDonald's. The new Pabellon Rosarito opened in July 2008 and features Home Depot, Wal-Mart, Peter Piper Pizza, and the movie theaters, Cinepolis. Soon to join them are Applebee's, Burger King and Ashley Furniture Homestore.

Many types of homes are available in Rosarito. Options include high rise and low rise condos, single family homes, and condo-hotels. Many homes are oceanfront, beach front, or ocean view.
